In order to provide good service to all FillPDF Service subscribers, there are some ground rules.
These rules represent an electronic agreement between you and Kevin Kaland (Company registration: WizOne Solutions, razvoj programske opreme in rešitev, Kevin Kaland, s.p.. Registration number 7191260000. Address: Prečna ulica 3, SI-4264 Bohinjska Bistrica, Slovenia). The terms "FillPDF Service" and "Kaland Web" refer to Kevin Kaland in the context of this agreement.
"Service credits" refer to allowances which you receive by signing up. In general, this is individual calls to the PDF Merge API.
"Billing period" or "billing cycle" refers to the discrete period of time for which you recurringly pay for service.
Service subscriptions are prepaid.
Some plans may allow you to use more than the included amount of service credits. This usage is billed when your next billing cycle starts. You can view when your current billing period will end on your user page.
EU customers: If the store must charge VAT, but you are a business customer, you can input your VAT number and address for verification. If we are able to verify your data, the order will be marked as an intra-community supply and no VAT assessed. If we can not satisfactorily ensure the accuracy of the VAT information, we will apply VAT, and you will have to reclaim it through the appropriate channel(s) (e.g. the EU Reverse Charge Mechanism).
To sign up, select the plan you would like. If you don't yet have an account, you may be prompted to create one. If you are signing up for a paid plan (and not a trial), you will have to input payment information.
For each subscription time period (e.g. month, year), your default payment method will be charged automatically. Currently, you must designate a default payment method in order to use the service. Applicable taxes and fees for your jurisdiction may be added to the prices displayed. Prices do not include VAT. You agree to contact us if any of these are incorrect and you wish to have them adjusted.
Changing and Canceling
You can manage your plan yourself from your user page at https://fillpdf.io/user and, when logged in, from the regular Pricing page.
Plan upgrades (changes to a more expensive plan) are immediate, and you will be charged the price difference between your current plan and the plan to which you are changing. You will receive the new allowances immediately. If you have incurred overages prior to upgrading, upgrading will cause them to be reassessed. Example: Your old plan contained 200 service credits, and you had used 300. You upgrade to a plan with 500. You are now within your plan limits and will not pay for any overages unless you use more than 500 service credits.
Plan downgrades (changes to a less expensive plan) and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.
There is generally no prorating.
All FillPDF Service subscription plans come with a full, unconditional 30-day guarantee. The guarantee applies from the first time an individual or company signs up for the service. After that:
- For monthly plans, billing is for the whole period, and refunds are not generally issued.
- For annual plans, however, the 30-day guarantee will apply to the first 30 days of each renewal period. This is primarily so that you can cancel if you forget that a renewal is coming up.
Forgetting that you are subscribed and incurring additional periodic charges will not generally entitle you to a refund. You are responsible for managing your subscription or notifying us if technical problems with the site prevent you from doing so.
You can use all plans up to the included amount of service credits, which you can see on your user page. Some plans also allow you to go over your included amount and pay for the overage at the end of the billing cycle.
Some older plans that are no longer available may allow unlimited usage. Unlimited usage has a fair-usage limit of 50,000 merges per month, but FillPDF Service may contact heavy users whose usage impacts service quality for others or users who are using the same API key on many different sites.
When you create an account, you agree to receive mandatory service announcements by default at your account email. You can opt out of these on the Update Email Address/Password page. However, if you opt out, or if you provide an email address where you cannot be reached, then you accept that you may miss important service updates. These will normally also be posted to the blog and mentioned on Twitter.
You cannot opt out of receiving transactional communications (for example, invoices when you place an order or auto-renew a subscription).
Exclusion of Warranties, Indemnification, Limitation of Liability
FillPDF Service does not offer any warranties, express or implied. You use it at your own risk.
FillPDF Service downtime and maintenance is kept to the minimum amount possible, but may occur, and may sometimes occur without warning. You accept this risk and agree not to hold FillPDF Service accountable for interruptions this may cause on your end.
FillPDF Service uses HTTPS to secure data transmission and purchases. In normal operation, no data is saved on the server, and when it is, it is for a very short period of time (e.g. web server request buffering, processing of image stamping requests via the service). Images used for image stamping are given a random name by the FillPDF module prior to being transferred to the server.
All payment data is stored offsite with Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. We store a token from them, which allows us (and specifically us) to charge your card, and the last 4 digits of each payment method, which lets us show you which card is which.
User accounts that do not interact with the site for a year will be deleted. Site interactions include:
- logging in
- making a request to the PDF Merge API
- renewing a subscription
Generally, no warning is provided prior to account removal.
Legal Framework (Choice of Law) and Complaints
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
In case of disputes, we should first try to resolve it in good faith. If that is not possible, then complaints which are eligible for Slovene small claims court (according to the Civil Procedure Act, Zakon o pravdnem postopku [ZPP]) must be filed there first.
If you have questions about these terms, please contact FillPDF Service using the contact form.
